Graduates

The Institute has initiated a Graduate Program in Biophysical Sciences leading to a Ph.D. in Biophysical Sciences, a degree conferred by the Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences Divisions. The program, one of ten selected for initial support by Howard Hughes Medical Institute, aims to transcend traditional boundaries and train a new generation of exceptional young scientists versed in both the physical and biological sciences. A precursor to the graduate program in Graduate Program in Biophysical Sciences was the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Cross-Disciplinary Training Program in Biophysical Dynamics and Biocomplexity (Stephen Kron, MD/PhD and Norbert F. Scherer, PhD, Co-Directors). The Graduate Program in Biophysical Sciences is currently funded through training grant support from the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering
